After winning T20’s against SouthAfrica with a score line of 2-1, Srilanka have got the much needed confidence which was lacking in their during Test matches. Both teams will be looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in June. Coaches have already expressed that they would like to give match experience to each player in the squad, as both the team will try to build strategies and perfect combinations for the upcoming tournament in five months. 
So tomorrow, the first match of the 5 match series will be played in Port Elizabeth, the match is scheduled to be a day night event. Wanderers usually favours spinners, so it will be a good chance for the subcontinent team to gain early lead in the series. With little bit rain forecast expected in the morning, their can be a slight help expected for fast bowlers at the start of the match.

Sri Lanka :
Srilankan squad have a very unsettled look. They have only 3-4 player’s who were present in last series against Zimbabwe. The captaincy again has changed hands, with now Upul Tharanga the stand in captain. Experience player’s like Dinesh Chandimal, Kusal Mendis, Upul Tharanga, Nuwan Kulsekara have to contribute well to win the series.
Srilanka have lost Angelo Mathews because of injury, and now lot will depend on De Silva to play the crucial role of all rounder. Nuwan Pradeep and Danushka Gunathilaka have also missed out through injury. Niroshan Dickwella played crucial knocks in T20, and Srilanka will now expect more such knocks from him. Team management themself have to decide wether Upul Tharanga bat in opening slot or in middle.

South Africa :
South Africa tested their domestic player’s, by giving them chance in T20 squad against Sri Lanka which they eventually lost. But in ODIs, they have announced a strong team with all experienced players back in the side. The star batsman Ab Devillers was in good nick in his come back game, but his team eventually lost the match. He will like to reverse the team fortune this time around with his exciting batting display.
Bad news for South Africa is that the young bowler Lugni Ngidi has got injured in training and will not take part in rest of the series. With Kyle Abott and Rile Roussow leaving the South African team for Kopalk teams, two spots are left vacant for grab. Chris Morris will be opening the attack with Kagiso Rabada.
